On Sunday mornings we worship together as a whole community, with a special Kids’ worship area at the front. Kids leave for their respective age-grouped classes after this time.
Please note that our Sunday programs are only offered during the 9 am service.
0-2 YEAR OLDS:
*Sept. 1, 2015 - Our schedule is in process and volunteers will be available in the near future. Until then, our nursery will be parent-supervised. Thanks for your patience! And please let us know if YOU would like to get involved.*
Parents can drop off their crawlers, wrigglers and toddlers with our volunteers at the Toddler Room/Nursery.
If you are dropping your child off, please be sure to sign them in and out of class.
Volunteers will not change your child, but can show you to our change table or come and get you if your child needs attention during the service.
3-4 YEAR OLDS:
The Bible Circle Class is a Sunday School class for 3-4 year olds to come and sing, read stories, learn more about the Bible and enjoy a snack. If your child is between 2 and 3 and ready to make the move upstairs to this class, please speak with Lisl Baker.
Parents, please come upstairs to sign your child in and out of class.
KINDERGARTEN TO GRADE 4:
Parents can bring their children to the lobby to sign their children into this class.
The kids in Kindergarten to Grade 4 will walk across the street and have their Sunday School class at Bayview School.
Sign out and pick-up takes place across the Street at Bayview School - the kids meet in the play area through the East doors of the school.
WHAT WE DO. WHO WE HOPE TO BECOME.
We teach our kids about God's love, faithfulness, mercy, justice and holiness. We learn and re-tell the stories of the Bible. We share current examples of God's faithfulness, Jesus' friendship and healing, and the Holy Spirit's power. We pray for each other, for our friends, our families, our city and our world. We listen to hear what Jesus has to say to us and about different situations.
We look at our kids and remember that we are all made beautifully and wonderfully in the image of a generous, loving, holy God. We are inspired by the life, energy, and creativity of our children. We learn from our kids about simple faith, active imaginations, quiet reflection, and passionate being.
It is our hope and aim to welcome and involve kids of all ages and backgrounds as full participants in the life of our church family. We want to grow in relationship with the whole church and nurture the shared role of discipleship of our children.
Where students in grades 5-12 star in the theatre of ‘everyday life’ – with particular exciting and dramatic, but also sometimes very boring and predictable episodes from places like elementary school, high school, sports teams, music groups, a variety of community clubs and family life.
Come out on Friday nights for fun and games, snacks, bible teaching, conversation, and outreach. It is our goal to cultivate friendship with each other and friendship with Jesus through silly adventures and serious conversations.
Preteens (Grades 5-7) and Jr. Youth (Grades 8-9) meet from 6:30-8:30 pm weekly at our church building on the corner of 7th Ave and Collingwood St.
Teens (Grades 10-12) meet weekly from 7-9 pm at the church.
Contact email@example.com for more information.
Preteens also have the added bonus of a Sunday morning teaching session which takes place during the sermon. Listen for the announcement to dismiss the children and head to the lobby to sign in and out of class.
WHAT WE DO. WHO WE HOPE TO BECOME.
Together with the youth, we learn about God's love, faithfulness, mercy, justice and holiness. We spend time studying the Bible, asking questions, worshipping and praying together. We share current examples and reminders of God's faithfulness, Jesus' friendship and healing, and the Holy Spirit's presence.
We pray for each other, for our friends, our families, our city and our world. We listen to hear what Jesus has to say to us and about different situations. We seek to see and understand our lives through Jesus’ eyes.
We remember – and remind each other - that we are wonderfully made in the image of a generous, loving, holy God. In our struggles, we call out to Jesus and encourage one another. We talk about the excitement and challenges of being a youth today in this city.
We seek to live as creative people – making music, telling stories, playing games, dreaming quietly and living loudly, growing new friendships and tending to old ones, paying attention to our neighbourhood.
It is our hope and aim to grow as active participants in church life – as youth who are shaped and discipled by each other and the adults in our lives, and who help disciple the children. We want to grow in relationship with the whole church and welcome and nurture the shared role of discipleship of the whole people of God.
