I have decided to participate in the 10 km Run for H2O on Saturday, June 22, 2013. This is Run for H2O's first year and I'm excited to be a part of this community event as it also provides an opportunity for me to get involved in fundraising for some of the most needy people in the world. Every week, 40,000 people die from a lack of clean water and many of them are children under the age of five. The good news is that providing one person in Guatemala with clean water for the rest of their life costs only $100!
Run for H2O is organized by a group of volunteers who are passionate about community spirit and providing access to clean water to those less fortunate. All donations go to HOPE International Development Agency. HOPE does amazing work with over 95 cents of every dollar raised going directly to the projects they work on! The money I am raising is specifically for clean water projects in Guatemala.
Below is the link to my fundraising page, where you can make a secure online donation with a credit card. Please consider giving to this worthy cause. All contributions over $20 are tax deductible.
