This past weekend, eight of our high school youth and four leaders went to Pender Harbour to stay at Rosewoods, a beautiful guest house on the ocean. We enjoyed cooking and eating meals around thetable together, canoeing and kayaking on the water, making s'mores in the fireplace, and inventing our own house-wide night game, Assassins in the Harbour (ask one of the teens about this if you're curious!).
We had thoughtful Bible studies and discussions on some topics our leaders are passionate about including an overview of the Big Story we're apart of, the importance of rest, Paul's theology, and sacrifice in film. Most of all, it was wonderful to continue to cultivate friendship and community with one another. Extended time in creation away from the usual busyness of life provided an amazing space for us to play and rest with one another and with God.
Thanks for your continued prayers and support of the youth in our church!
