Hebrews 2:1-4

In this message, Pastor Ben preaches from Hebrews 2:1–4 as we explore how God lovingly draws us toward Jesus and faithfully warns us about the danger of drifting away from Him. Throughout Hebrews, we see a beautiful balance: we are reminded of the greatness of Jesus while also being encouraged not to neglect the incredible salvation He has made available to us.

We consider the difference between manipulation and a genuine warning, and why God’s warnings are not meant simply to frighten us. Instead, they flow from His deep love for us and His desire to keep us close, faithful, and secure in Him. We also explore why sin matters, why God takes judgment seriously, and how His justice and mercy meet at the cross, where Jesus made a way for us to be forgiven and reconciled to God.
