Ephesians 5:21 - 6:9

In this message we look at how the Apostle Paul starts to hone his focus in on the Greco-Roman household. Ephesians 5:20-6:9 have instructions for husbands and wives, parents and their children, as well as masters and their bond-servants. This section of scripture can be highly contentious, much reflection and praxis of the Christian faith for better and for worse has been inspired from passages like these in the scriptures.

Rather than look at each relational sphere that existed in the Greco-Roman household in an atomized way, in this message Pastor Daniel looks at the implications of power, privilege, and relationships over the entire Greco-Roman household. The hope is that as we look at the power dynamics that existed within the Greco-Roman household, and how Paul has specific instruction for each member of the household, that all of it together would help us look at our own relational spheres in a more holistic and Christlike way.
